How do Jetski Lifting Slings work?

Jetski lifting slings are used to safely lift, launch and recover a personal watercraft from a yacht crane, davit, tender garage or marine lifting setup.

The system uses a model-specific lifting sling and permanently fitted stainless steel attachment brackets on the jetski. When the jetski needs to be launched or recovered, the sling fittings connect into the brackets, the sling legs rise to a single crane hook connection point, and the jetski can be lifted in a controlled and balanced way.

Model-Specific Sling Kit

Each lifting sling kit is selected to suit the specific Seadoo or Yamaha jetski model, year and hull type.

Jetski lifting sling stainless steel attachment brackets

Fixed Attachment Brackets

Stainless steel brackets are fitted to the jetski to provide repeatable lifting connection points.

Jetski lifting sling single crane hook connection point

Single Crane Hook Point

The sling legs come together at one upper lifting point for connection to the yacht crane or davit.

How the Lifting Sling System Works

1

Fit the Brackets

Model-specific stainless steel brackets are installed on the jetski to create fixed lifting points.

2

Connect the Sling

The sling fittings are connected into the fitted brackets before lifting, giving crew a consistent setup each time.

3

Attach to the Crane

The sling legs lead up to a single upper lifting point, which connects to the yacht crane or davit hook.

4

Lift & Recover

The jetski can then be lifted, launched or recovered in a more balanced and controlled way.

Why use a Jetski Lifting Sling instead of a standard harness?

  • Model-specific kits help match the lifting setup to the correct jetski hull.
  • Fixed stainless steel brackets give crew repeatable attachment points.
  • The 4-point sling arrangement helps provide a more balanced lift.
  • The single crane hook connection keeps the yacht crane setup simple.
  • Adjustable webbing allows the lifting height and balance to be set for the jetski and yacht setup.
  • Helps reduce the risk of incorrect hook placement, slippage or bodywork damage from generic harness systems.

Practical Use Onboard

Once the brackets are installed, crew can quickly connect the sling, attach the crane hook, take up the slack, check the jetski is sitting level, and then lift or recover the jetski. After use, the sling can be removed and stored, while the attachment brackets remain fitted to the jetski ready for the next launch.

Important Note

The correct sling must be selected for the jetski make, model, year and onboard lifting arrangement. Lifting equipment should be installed, inspected and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and onboard safety procedures.

Jetski Lifting Slings FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Useful answers for superyacht crew, yacht owners and marine operators choosing Seadoo or Yamaha jetski lifting sling kits.

What are jetski lifting slings used for?
Jetski lifting slings are specialised lifting kits designed to safely lift, launch and recover a jetski or personal watercraft from a yacht, dock or marine lifting setup.

They provide a secure and stable lift, helping to protect the jetski from damage during launching, recovery, storage or maintenance.
Why choose these slings instead of a standard PWC harness?
Many standard jetski lifting harnesses are adapted from industrial lifting equipment. These kits are purpose-built for marine and yacht use, where controlled lifting, safety and repeatability are important.

• 4 point lifting system for a balanced lift
• Single crane hook connection
• Quick fit design for rapid deployment
• Reduced swing and improved control during launch and recovery
Are the slings suitable for superyacht operations?
Yes. The slings are designed for real-world superyacht use, helping crew reduce turnaround time when deploying water toys during guest operations.

The setup helps keep lifting operations organised, professional and controlled at the waterline.
What materials are used?
The kits use high-strength polyester webbing with reinforced stitching and durable stainless 316 hardware for marine use.

The construction is designed for strength, longevity and resistance to saltwater and harsh outdoor conditions.
Are the slings certified and traceable?
Yes. The slings are supplied with an EC Declaration of Conformity and I.D. label tagging to help meet onboard safety and audit requirements.

They are rated with a certified Safe Working Load suitable for modern jetski models, including heavier models such as Seadoo RXT-X and FishPro.
Which jetski models are compatible?
The lifting slings are tailored for leading Seadoo and Yamaha PWC models.

Seadoo: compatible with 2014+ GTX, GTI, GTR, RXT, RXP, Wake Pro, Explorer Pro, Fish Pro and Spark models.

Yamaha Waverunner: suitable for 2014+ EX, VX, FX, GP series, Jetblaster and Superjet models.
Can the lift height be adjusted?
Yes. The kits include adjustable length straps, allowing a custom lift height to suit a wide range of jetski models and onboard lifting setups.
Can the kit be fitted by crew?
Full instructions are provided so the kit can be fitted by a member of crew. Alternatively, a technician can fit the slings onboard.

Once fitted, the slings need to be proof loaded to 110% of the SWL.
How quickly can the slings be dispatched?
Dispatch is usually aimed within 1–3 working days from receipt of payment.

Delivery times depend on the shipping address and selected shipping option, such as Express or Economy.
Can you help me choose the correct sling?
Yes. The team can recommend the ideal sling based on your jetski model and onboard setup.

For best results, provide your jetski make, model, year and details of your yacht crane or lifting arrangement.

Need help choosing the correct jetski lifting sling?

Send the PWC (jetski) year, make, model and the lifting setup (i.e, deck, garage, pontoon) and the team can recommend the most suitable sling kit.
